Skull Pattern

This is a pattern piece I made in November for an assignment based around an adjective. I was assigned the word "edgy" so I channeled my latent emo fourteen year old self and made something that would be right at home in a hot topic. I worked on a lot of different ideas when I was sketching out visuals, one of which was an anatomically correct heart. However, when implementing this into my piece I came to the conclusion that I needed to simplify since it detracted from the skull. however I made the most of it and even added a cartoon heart to the middle of it for an extra stylistic pop.
