I’m Kay, a designer and all around nerd. I’ve always found myself on the line between creativity and logic, which most consider a dichotomy, as did I, in the past. This changed after I started doing usability research and working with UX designers at a previous job, then moved on to MATC to focus on design, learning everything I could. Now, I’m moving on, and without the hindrance of conventional dichotomies that held me back, I’m ready to create designs with aesthetics ranging from classic with some flavor, to unexpected yet stunning combinations, and a focus on usability and accessibility.

Counseling Center of Arlington Heights

Counseling Center of Arlington Heights is a small therapy practice in the suburbs of Chicago. With no identity and a minimal website, they worried they wouldn’t be noticed or considered by potential patients. This project takes the passion and values of the practice and translates them into a logo, business cards, and a website that people searching for a therapist will not only see, but choose.

Logitech G Contest

The goal of this contest is for Logitech G to reach a large portion of their customer base—content creators. Using a combination of bright colors from Logitech G’s own brand and products, a selection of playful shapes and textures, and big, bold text, this contest will draw the attention of these creators and their communities.

Vector Illustration Collection

This collection includes different styles of vector illustration, varying in complexity, theme, and color scheme. Vector illustrations are only growing more popular in web design, SaaS UI, and so much more. Recent A/B tests have shown that users are more likely to interact with something that includes some type of image alongside text vs. text alone, so it's also a good asset to more helpfully guide end users to what they're looking for most.
