HEARD - UW Systems
HEARD is an imagined extension of the University of Wisconsin System's Civic Dialogue initiative. Its purpose is to serve as an introductory event to other services hosted by the UW System initiative and a neutral space for incoming college students to talk about polarizing topics. Conversational taboos, such as politics, religion, gender, etc., are messy and chatter gets clumsy, and that's okay. The wordmark acts as a reminder of the building blocks needed for mutual understanding and topical photo collages illustrate the idea of differences coming together.

The Gold Standard - Brazil Soccer
Seleção is the most decorated football club in history, though the Brazilian club has not seen a World Cup Championship since 2002. Throughout the design, five green dashes signify their five previous titles set by a commanding rule as a placeholder for victory to come. The youthful crew, recently dubbed the “wonder kids,” are featured in graphics with various transparency to demonstrate how they have swiftly ushered in a new gold standard of play, giving the club hope of returning to reign.

Bratwurst Battle - Varsity Meats
Grilling season means hot coals and even hotter backyard bantering over how to cook Wisconsin's beloved, well-chopped sausage: the bratwurst. To solve this age-old debate, I decided to use the highly research-based and scientifically proven modern method of Instagram poll interactions. Varsity Meats' followers tap through screens that are sprinkled with graphic elements that reference savory ingredients and dashed with typographic callouts of grilling instructions. Similarly, the German roots of the state's welcome site are briefly represented in a classic Bavarian pattern and a subtle umlaut.
